Tank Inspection

Visual cylinder inspections under Federal regulations require persons engaged with high pressure cylinders (hazmat) receive formal, function specific training. Training is important to perform visual inspections on any pressure cylinders. Visual inspections for SCUBA cylinders are required annually and other cylinders may require inspections at different intervals.

The visual inspection process is necessary in order to determine suitability for continued service, but it constitutes more than looking at a cylinder and deeming it “usable”.  Knowing what makes a cylinder “good” and what makes it “bad” is why cylinder training courses are important. And contrary to popular belief, there are laws concerning cylinder handling and visual inspection!

Dive911 uses visual inspection training based on the rules and regulations pertaining to cylinder hazmat.
